Welcome to Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County OH!
Habitat for Humanity (HfH) is a non-profit organization that provides housing for low-income families who have a need for housing. Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County OH is an affilliate of HfH and incorporates the services of volunteers and partner families to provide efficient housing for those who can not afford to provide for themselves using traditional methods.
Houses are built entirely by volunteers and partner families (and may include their families and friends) from materials provided by individuals, area churches, and corporate donors who provide money and materials. Many hours of labor called sweat equity are utilized by both the recipient and other volunteers during the process of building not only their homes, but other Habitat homes as well. The new homeowners make payments, providing funding that enables the affiliate to build more Habitat housing for other needy families.
If you are interested in more information, you may check the Habitat for Humanity International website, which contains more information on Habitat’s history, mission, volunteer opportunities, as well as contact information for other Habitat affiliates around the world.
